The FEPPD's main decision making body is the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which brings together all members once per year in a different European city.
The "Fédération Européenne et Internationale des Patrons Prothesistes Dentaires" (FEPPD) is a federation of 20 national associations representing each all dental technician laboratory owners in their country.
FEPPD only accepts the membership of national organisations that are officially recognised and/or representative of their country.
The FEPPD's members send delegates to the AGM to discuss the future policy of the FEPPD and to decide on the admission of new members. A second important occasion that brings together all members is the yearly-organised Futureday.
The FEPPD Council meets four times a year. The elected council follows up the daily work and decisions taken by the AGM.
Next to the AGM and the Council, it is the Expert Groups that play an important role in the organisation. The members of the expert groups regularly attend national and international meetings and are involved in lobby work and upholding the position of the FEPPD.
The organisational centre of the FEPPD is its office in Antwerp. All meetings are coordinated there and important links to other organisations in Brussels are established and maintained. The FEPPD office is also responsible for the publishing of the newsletter.
In additional to the representation of dental technicians, the FEPPD also has several mandates in the general health care sector from the UEAPME (Union Européenne de l'Artisanat et des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises) and the NORMAPME (Bureau Européen de l'Artisanat, et des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises pour la Normalisation).
Through its experts in UEAPME and NORMAPME meetings in Brussels (Medical Devices Expert Group, CEN meetings, etc.), the FEPPD participates in the European decision-making process at the highest level.
