Join FEPPD FEPPD welcomes as new members all Dental Technician Laboratory Owner Organisations and Organisations of Independent Dental Technicians (self-employed) that are officially representing dental technicians. Article 2 (Aims and Objectives of the Federation) 2.1 With the exclusion of all aims of profit-making, the aims and objectives of the Federation are as follows: 2.1.1 To represent, promote and participate with other organisation in areas that may affect the professional and commercial interests of the independent (self-employed) dental technicians and dental laboratory owners on European and International levels. 2.1.2 To protect and respect the national characteristics of the vocational practice, if these have a legal base in the respective country of the member. 2.1.3 To maintain and develop relations between associations representing those working in dental laboratories, dental surgeries and the dental trade in the spirit of collaboration and mutual understanding. 2.1.4 To represent out organisation with International and European organisations and National Governments and organisations. 2.1.5 To develop the training and education of Laboratory owners, independent Dental Technicians (self-employed), and dental technicians employed by dental laboratories. Article 3 (The Members of the Federation) 3.1 Members of the Federation shall only be National Federations representing Dental Laboratory Owners and independent dental technicians. Only one membership per country will be allowed and shall represent the whole of the National territory. 3.2 Prospective members, eligible to become members can, initially, become Provisional Members for a period of up to three years. This period can only be extended by a simple majority in favour at a General Assembly for one year. 3.3 National Federations of dental laboratory owners and other bodies, may be admitted as corresponding members by decision of a General Assembly with a two third majority. 3.4 Persons, Company's or institutions that have themselves served the furtherance of the Federation or have been useful to the Federation can be admitted to the Federation as a promoting members; The decision on this will be taken by the General Assembly. 3.5 Individual persons who have served the Federation especially well can be appointed honorary members through a resolution of the General Assembly. 3.6 Corresponding, provisional, promoting and honorary members have no vote. 3.7 The Manufacturer and person who places a Medical Device on the market should be a qualified Dental Technician. 3.8 The General Assembly may make Standing Orders concerning Corresponding Members from time to time. Article 4 (Application for Membership) 4.1 Application for Membership shall be in writing to the Board of the Federation and enclose the statutes of their association as well as stating the composition of their board of directors. 4.2 The application for admission will be examined by the Board and submitted to the General Assembly together with a corresponding recommendation. 4.3 The General Assembly will decide over the application for admission with a two third majority. 4.4 The association applying for admission will be informed of the result of the vote by registered mail if they are not in attendance at the meeting; Article 5 (Rights and duties of the members) 5.1 The rights and duties of the members shall be determined by these statutes; 5.2 Members have a duty to conform to the statutes, to obey decisions of the Federation and its executive bodies, to inform the Secretariat of each change in their national statutes and in the membership of its Board, to forward any item of information, which might be of interest to the Federation. Article 6 (Loss of membership) 6.1 The membership of the members terminates: 6.1.1 By resignation transmitted in writing to the Board at least six months before the end of the financial year; 6.1.2 By dissolution of the National Association; 6.1.3 By the dissolution of the Federation; 6.1.4 By the expulsion decided by the General Assembly with three quarters of the representative votes provided that the application for the expulsion shall be on the agenda of the General Assembly. 6.2 Expulsion can be decided by the following reasons: 6.1.1 If a member does not abide by the statutory resolutions and obligations 6.1.2 If a member is an arrears with his subscription for more that one year despite repeated requests, they shall be automatically proposed for expulsion at the next General Assembly. 6.3 Before passing of the resolution by the General Assembly over expulsion, the Member concerned is asked to state in writing any matters, which may be considered relevant to the resolution of dismissal. The member is in addition to this given the opportunity to take part in the relevant discussion at the General Assembly. 6.4 The members concerned shall not be present during the voting on the resolution. The vote will be by secret ballot; 6.5 The member concerned shall be informed of the expulsion by registered mail; 6.6 The loss of the membership shall simultaneously entail the loss of all claims to assets of the Federation -. On the other hand all obligations incurred before the end of the membership are to be fulfilled. Paid subscriptions will not be refunded. Article 7 (The subscription) 7.1 The members are obliged to pay a yearly subscription the level of which is decided by the General Assembly. 7.2 The Annual Subscription shall be composed as follows: 7.2.1 For members: 7.2.1 A basic subscription which shall be the same for all members (except the Federation des Laboratoires Dentaires du Grand Duche de Luxembourg) 7.2.1 A supplementary amount being the product of a multiplying factor with the number of inhabitants of the country concerned. The multiplying factor shall be decided upon by the General Assembly. The number of inhabitants shall be taken from international statistics. 7.3 Separate settlements for provisional, corresponding and promoting members can be determined by the General Assembly. Honorary members are subscription free. 7.4 The method of payment shall be in accordance with any resolution of the General Assembly. Article 8 (Admission Fee) 8.1 The Federation shall charge an admission fee the amount of which is set out by the General Assembly. Download the FEPPD Admission Form here:
