| 4. THREE DIMENSIONAL MODELS OF AN IMPLANT SYSTEM |
The biomechanical analysis of multi-implant prostethic systems necessarly requires the use of three dimensional models. Fig. 1 shows the three dimensional geometric model of multi-implant system inserted in a mandible. The yellow arrows represent the possible loads acting on the prosthetic system due to masticatory activity. Fig. 2 shows the intermediate step of the finite element mesh creation for mandible corpus and the prostehtic system.
