Design of the solid model
The design of the three-dimensional model is based on a reverse engineering process. The titanium frame obtained through casting is measured and the measures obtained are used to create a virtual solid model in a three-dimensional CAD, as shown in the above pictures. In the second picture the feeding cone is marked in green, the bar in white, and the implants in red.
The rendering of the virtual solid model is here shown. The pictures above display the rendering of the model including the gating system, top view and bottom view. The pictures below display the rendering of the model of bar and cylinders, again top view and bottom view.
