Phase 1 Initial
training for the participating member countries
Define the partners' role in the project. Setting up the
infrastructure (a helpdesk and facilitator) including communication
systems and expert groups. A website will be designed and will
disseminate information for the project partners.
Later on, this
website will be used to promote the Generic Occupational Standards.
An electronic Newsletter will be published to inform the project
partners and the sector on the evolution and results of the project.
Educational seminars will train all those involved and show them
presentations and opportunities to put forward ideas of best practice,
concerns and systems that will be used.
Phase 2 Translation of
the basic text
Bulk translation of the National Occupational Standards into 6
languages (German, French, Italian, Slovakian, Dutch and Romanian).
The will be assisted by a helpdesk (DLA) and by FEPPD.

Phase 3 Correction of
bulk translation and forming of national expert groups
Ensure that the individual translations are read correctly and
coherently. To be carried out by the national experts groups within
each member country (partners). The technical jargon and the specific
nomenclature need to be checked by specialists of the sector.
Phase 4 Discussion on
national level
Each member country forms the necessary working groups
with sector experts on national level. The basic text of the
occupational standards will be discussed and areas of derogation and
proposed amendments will be noted down.

Phase 5 Discussion on
trans-national level
An experts group will be formed by members of the national groups as
well as by other sector organisations like Dental Liaison
(representing the Dentists on European level) and Clinical Dental
Technicians Association (CDTA), trade unions (the DTA represents
laboratory owners and employees as well as the Gesellenausschluß der
Niedersächsischen Zahntechniek-Innung), consumer organizations,
organizations representing the industry (UNIDI - Italian Dental
Industry), schools(Fachhochschule Osnabruck), training centres for
SME's (Centre de formation, Institut des Métiers du Puy de Dôme,
Faculté des Métiers de Bretagne, Centres de formation des Apprentis
du Loiret, SBBO midden Nederland) and Universities(Manchester
Metropolitan University, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and University
of Padova) and European crafts organizations (NORMAPME / UEAPME).
This
working group will discuss all the difficulties and propositions of
the national working groups and will be reach an agreement on one
generic text of Occupational Standards.

Phase 6 Promotion of
the Generic Occupational Standards dissemination and valorisation
The final version of the Occupational Standards will be available in 7
( 6 + English) European languages and promoted by the partners on
national and European level.
