GESELLENAUSSCHUSS DER NIEDERSACHSISCHEN ZAHNTECHNIKER-INNUNG (DE)
This is the German regional association of dental technicians (employees). It represents 5100 dental technicians (employees). The Gesellenausschuss is the stakeholder for all issues between the employees and the employers in all dental technicians matters. It will provide experts for the working groups on national level.

CENTRE DE FORMATION (FR)  Lab.puente@wanadoo.fr
The Centre de Formation provides training and education for dental technicians located in Paris. Because it depends of the profession, it has a special authority in the higher education. It welcomes students of one single field: dental technique. Students are already dental technicians who want a further education or a specialization in some fields. It is also an information and resources center. They will provide their know-how in the dental technician sector experts for the working groups.

This institute provides information, educational and SME-services for craftsmen. It is an institute of further education. This institute welcome students in any professional field (dental technicians, mechanics, hairdressers,…). Three degrees are tutored: The certification of professional knowledge (1st level Certificat d'aptitude professionnelle CAP. Second level: technical master/Brevet technique des Métiers (BTM). Third level: higher technical master/Brevet technique des métiers (BMS). The institute will contribute to the Leonardo project by sending experts to the working groups.

CONSEILLER D'ENSEIGNEMENT TECHNOLOGIE INTER ACADEMIQUE (FR)  JaBERTHON@wanadoo.fr
The Conseiller provides education for dental technicians. They will provide experts for the working groups.
On behalf of their craft/profession, they establish the link between the Government and the professional Union in the field of the training; therefore they are the professional partners of the different administrations (state or region). Their function is to be the link between: the craft or profession national education authority the training institutes
Moreover, they take part to any meeting upon technical training at any level (national….) For instance they are in charge of the exams, of their regularity, of the respect of the law.

ASSOCIAZIONE NAZIONALE COMMERCIO ARTICOLI DENTALI (IT)   Fisicdentalex@interbusiness.it
This organisation is a specialist in the distribution of dental supplies. Its second field of know-how is in the Marketing Affairs in the Italian Dental Sector. In order to profit from their profound knowledge in the dental sector this organisation will provide experts for the national and international working group.

UNIDI (Italian Dental Industries Association) associates the majority of Italian producers of equipment and material for dentists and
dental technicians - 130 high-calibre companies offering every guarantee to the users of their products. Indeed membership of UNIDI entails the observance of specific technical standards and codes of conduct and only includes manufacturers possessing precise requirements regarding the reliability and conformity of their products to current Italian and EU legislation.

UNIDI sets itself numerous institutional goals, representing and protecting the interests of associated companies, both in Italy and in a European and international context. It develops and maintains contacts with public and private bodies, Associations and all the economic categories in the sector. This association represents 500,000 people in the Italian dental industry. UNIDI will provide experts on national and international level.

This educational center is responsible in training and educating dental technicians. They are registered at the Italian Ministry of Health to organize courses for dental technicians and dentists.
Their educational courses are recognized and also supported by ECM credits.

With their know-how in the dental sector they will contribute effectively to the project while sending experts to the working groups. The center will therefore provide experts for the working groups along with the necessary tools to promote the professional formation.


GRUPPO OPERATIVE GP VIOLI (IT)  violi@tin.it
The Gruppo Operative GP Violi gathers a group of dental technicians. This group meets to discuss items as education, healthcare. Also their expertise will be useful for an appropriate evaluation of the working procedures reported in the generic standards text. They will be involved in the national negotiations as well as the negotiations on trans-national level to obtain generic standards.
SBBO MIDDEN NEDERLAND (NL)  
This educational center has own experts in the dental technical field and an outstanding working relation with the Dutch federation. For the implementation in education the role of SBBO is vital as this organization is specialized in the training, consultancy and education for dental technicians, they will contribute to the project by providing dental technician experts for the working groups. Therefore their know-how can contribute to the success of the standardization project.

MANCHESTER METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY (UK)   c.maryan@mmu.ac.uk
The department is recognised as a major national centre for studies in chemistry, polymer science, technology and engineering, materials science and dental technology. The range of course available spans technician, undergraduate and postgraduate levels with higher degrees and research forming a major part of the Department's work. All courses have a strong vocational element with particular emphasis being placed on, practical work.

The style of the University is focusing on the uniqueness of dental problems. Dental prostheses and appliances are individually constructed to conform to strict physical and mechanical requirements that fulfil the aesthetic expectations of the patient. Every case presents an individual challenge that requires a technologist who can both understand the nature of the problem and have the artistic skills to create a solution.

With this approach, the University will stand for the complexity of the standards and the guarantee that they can be applied in any single case. The university will contribute to the project while assisting the meetings of the international experts group

CLINICAL DENTAL TECHNICIANS (UK)   cdta@btinternet.com
The Clinical Dental Technicians Association represents, both politically and educationally, qualified dental technicians who wish to both manufacture and fit removable dental appliances such as dentures. The association has been working for many years with both government and the General Dental Council (the regulatory body for dentists) to introduce new professions called Professions Complementary to Dentistry.
This will require appropriately qualified dental technicians, dental nurses, dental hygienists, dental therapists, maxilofacial prosthetists, orthodontic therapists and clinical dental technicians to be registered, in law, to practice.

The Clinical Dental Technicians Association is committed to the concept of team dentistry and ensures that its members work to the highest professional standards, which include compliance to a Code of Conduct and a Patient Charter. With their know-how in the dental sector they will contribute effectively to the project while sending experts to the working groups.
